Snowcation 2013

On Thursday, December 5th, we got hit by a sleet storm followed by a snow storm. We ended up with 1 inch of sleet/ice followed by 8 - 10 inches of snow. It meant school was out of many days, but plenty of time to play!

Love my little photo bomber in the back!

Look at our playground!

Sarah is pulling Emily...she loves this snow!

2nd Grade Hoe Down

Emily got to do her 2nd grade Hoe Down right before Thanksgiving break. She has been studying all about the wild west and they got to celebrate with a hoe down. Here she is all dressed for her "dancing."

This is Emily and her teacher, April Lane. This is the teacher who I taught with for 8 years and a very dear friend. So thankful that she will got to be in her classroom!

Love this face!

Flower Girls

The girls got to be flower girls for Jessica's wedding right before Thanksgiving. They were so excited! They did such a good job sitting so quietly all through the wedding.

The girls walking down the aisle throwing their petals.

If you notice Sarah is talking to Emily...

It was super cold outside...but they were such troopers!

Halloween 2013

Happy Halloween 2013

We started our celebrations by getting ready at school and seeing all of our school friends. Sarah was a kitty and Emily was "half princess and half queen." I guess that was her idea on how to be both! She would even tell people who guessed she was a princess that they were almost right. Love that girl!

After school we drove to Daddy's work for the Walmart Home Office Halloween Celebration. The associate's kids get to go all over the home office trick or treat in all the different offices. The girls also get to see where Daddy works. When we got there is started to rain... and when I say rain I mean the heavens opened up and buckets of water fell all over us...So no pictures from there!

My baby kitty...who wouldn't let me take a picture of her while she was sucking her thumb!

Every year we go and Trick or Treat with some friends of ours. The girls look forward to it every year. Such a nice time to visit.

I think Emily is super excited!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

Pumpkin Patch 2013

Farmland Adventures

The girls and I had to brave the pumpkin patch by ourselves this year...Aaron had to study for his CPA test on Monday. I told the girls no big maze this year...if went on it without Aaron we would still be in the maze! I think the girls had a great time. I am just amazed by these yearly visits how older they are each time that we go.

Look at how grown up they look!

Sarah is in the "cornbox" (a sandbox with corn instead of sand!)

We ran into some sweet friends of ours...

Sarah is getting buried...

The girls feeding the goats...Sarah kept looking for the bottles
(we got to feed goats bottles in St. Louis)

This steer was named Andy...He was so docile.
He let the worker sit on top of him and have the girls pet him.

Love how these girls can love each other...so many times I wonder.
I just love that I get to be their mommy...such a great gift.

Waiting for our hay ride...

We got to feed the cows some tortillas...who knew!??

Sarah wanted to take a picture with the scarecrows.

Emily just sprawled out!

Last thing we did before going home...pony rides!

I am so happy to get these little moments with them. Hope everyone is enjoying their fall...
